CSA: Being Reviwed by Congress

Though being a car hauler is a small segment of the trucking industry it still deals with the ramifications of the CSA. Well there is a saying, every dog has its day. In this case, the trucking lobby has its day in front of Congress in an attempt to correct some problems with the CSA program. According to a Transport Topics article some of the deficiencies of the program are:

• Problems with the carrier data being incomplete or inaccurate in determining a carriers rank and status
• The point system for crashes also assigns blame regardless of whether the accident was preventable or not
• The CSA does not correctly portray a carriers safety record
